Jewelry is a family business

Meet Roger Satnick

Roger was born in Brooklyn and raised in Woodmere, LI. Son of Lenore and Hartley Satnick. He attended Fairleigh Dickenson University and graduated from Fashion Institute of Technology, where he studied Gemology, Jewelry Design, and Fabrication using precious metals. Roger comes to us from Brooklyn Height, NY where his family had a Jewelry Business for more than 103 years. He is a third generation Jewelry Designer following in the footsteps of his Grandfather Max, who opened Max Satnick Jewelers in Williamsburg in 1912 and his Father Hartley Satnick who is a retired Certified Master Watchmaker. Roger’s specialty is the design and fabrication of one-of-a-kind jewelry as well as the restoration of antique and estate pieces. During his thirties, he took a seven years absence from the family business to traveling extensively around the country as a top sales manager for some of the nation’s largest jewelry companies. In those years, Roger acquired vast knowledge, expanded his network, and further developed his expertise which he has incorporated into his retail business.

Community service and volunteerism is a theme reflected throughout Roger’s career and personal life. Whether it is serving on one of many not for profit boards, being Vice-President of his synagogue or lending a friend a helping hand, Roger always makes himself available and is a true man of his word. His involvement has included organizations such as Educational Alliance West, Fresh Air Fund, and Make A Wish Foundation; he is a past President of BNI Chapter Brownstone Business Connection and he currently serves as Co-President of Consolidated Jeweler Association of Greater New York. This organization provides a multitude of benefits for small to medium sized Businesses. He is currently a member of the Southold Rotary Club, a Board of Director for the Gift of life Long Island Chapter and a Board of Director for the Veterans Watchmaking Initiative.
